  • Eggstravaganza event

    Palm Sunday, March 28
    1:00pm-2:30pm

After having to cancel last year’s Eggstravaganza, we are adapting it into a “drive-thru style” activity, much like our Blessing of the Backpacks and Fresh Food Distribution. In a year when children and families have had to for-go a lot of fun, MUMC is creating opportunities to bring joy to our community!

Candy donations are needed to fill approximately 2,000 plastic eggs with treats. – Donation can be left in Rachel’s office any time. Volunteers are also needed to stuff eggs. You can do that at the church or take supplies to work from home. If you are able to fill eggs with goodies, please contact Rachel

  • Welcome Back to Church

    Coronavirus Update

    Friends and Family at MUMC
First, we want to thank all of you for your patience and support over the past 12 months. What a year it has been!

We are excited to share that we are welcoming people to join us in worship on-site once again! We have plenty of space to spread out and keep everyone safe and healthy. If you have had your vaccination shots, are in a low-risk group, or are simply willing to wear your mask, socially distance, save hugs for a different day, and keep washing those hands, then plan on joining us soon!

  • I am the Journey

    THE JOURNEY OF LENT BEGINS
    Sundays at 9 am & 11 am

This seven-week series explores the “I Am” statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John. Each “I Am” declaration illustrates a specific revelation of Jesus’s character and testifies to his divinity. Also, each of the “I Am” announcements reveal our spiritual needs and how Jesus perfectly meets each and every one.

A Journey Box can be set up in each home as a way to interact with the story during worship. A list of items can be placed in the box in preparation for the worship services to come. Each week Pastor Melany will choose one of the items in your box to preach on. Small packets of ashes can also be picked up at the church starting Sunday, in addition to cutouts that will be used with each item in the box.

  • Pastor Melany's new appointment

Pastor Melany has been called onward
As Chairperson of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee of our church, I have the responsibility to announce the appointment of our pastor, Melany Chalker, to the Eaton Rapids United Methodist Church in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, effective July 1, 2021. This appointment has been made by our Bishop, David Bard, in consultation with the Cabinet of the Michigan Conference. The decision to appoint Pastor Melany to the Eaton Rapids United Methodist Church occurred after considerable prayer, discussion, and discernment. After discussion with the District Superintendent and her own discernment through prayer, Pastor Melany has agreed to accept this new appointment. We hope to be hearing who our new pastor will be soon.
